According to insiders, Victoria Beckham fears being cut out completely if her son Brooklyn and wife Nicola start a family
She previously said it would be ‘wonderful’ to be a grandmother one day if she was ‘blessed’.
And, now, insiders tell Closer that Victoria Beckham is ‘absolutely heartbroken’ over fears that Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz could shut her out when they have a baby, owing to the ongoing family feud.
An insider says, ‘Victoria wants nothing more than to be involved when they do have a baby – to help, to support them, to be part of it. Brooklyn is her first-born. They were so close for years – he was always her baby boy. But things have changed since he married Nicola. She’s terrified that if a baby does come along, she’ll be the last to know – or, worse, completely cut out.
‘Nicola’s very protective of Brooklyn, but it can become borderline controlling. She’s got her own family, her own world, and she’s very much the centre of that. Victoria sometimes feels like an outsider – and it really hurts.’
Brooklyn, 26, and American wife Nicola Peltz, 30 – who aren’t believed to be on speaking terms with his UK-based family – are currently sailing through the Mediterranean upon her billionaire father’s yacht. While the couple have enjoyed luxury stopovers in Italy and the south of France, it’s not all rosé and romance. Friends say Brooklyn and Nicola have been quietly trying to start a family – and are now facing struggles behind the scenes.
