Like Mother, Like Daughter: Princess Charlotte Channels Kate at the Euros
Princess Charlotte truly stepped into her royal duties on Sunday, joining her father, Prince William, to cheer on the Lionesses to victory in the Women’s Euro 2025 finals in Switzerland. The Princess of Wales brought along his only daughter for a joint outing to St. Jakob-Park, where the pair watched on (anxiously, for the majority of the match) as England beat Spain on penalties.
It was a milestone occasion for 10-year-old Princess Charlotte, not least because she met with some of her fellow young royals. Comiserating alongside La Roja was Princess Leonor, the 19-year-old heir to the Spanish throne, and her sister, Infanta Sofia. The two princesses made their own way to Basel, travelling without their parents, King Felipe and Queen Letizia. Charlotte looked right at home with her Spanish counterparts, as the trio enjoyed a warm conversation in the company of Prince William. The picture of grace and elegance, the Princess had many royal watchers comparing Charlotte to her mother, Catherine, the Princess of Wales – not least because her outfit looked straight out of the stylebook of a young Kate Middleton.
