You Won’t Believe the Royal Twist in Princess Charlotte’s Wimbledon Bracelet

Princess Charlotte wore a meaningful accessory during her family’s outing at Wimbledon.
The 10-year-old princess attended the gentlemen’s singles final match on July 13 alongside her parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and older brother, Prince George. As the family sat in the Royal Box, onlookers got a glimpse of some of Charlotte’s royal style.
When she adjusted her sunglasses and reacted to the tennis action in the stands at the All England Club, Princess Charlotte revealed her pink nail polish as well as a silver Pandora bracelet with personalized charms.
Social media accounts were quick to examine the three charms on the princess’s bracelet, which included an emerald for her birth month of May.
There was also a flat heart charm with an engraving, and finally, a rose gold charm that appeared to be Nala from The Lion King.
Prince William has previously shared his children’s love for the Disney animated classic. While meeting with a young admirer in 2017, William shared that Prince George, who was then 4 and is set to be king one day, “quite likes The Lion King.”
“We’ve watched that a few times,” he shared.
The bracelet wasn’t Charlotte’s only fashion statement of the day. Her white dress with navy piping and ruffle detail was designed by Sarah Burton, who also designed Kate’s wedding gown in 2011 when she was the head of Alexander McQueen.
The custom dress also echoed a look that Kate wore while supporting Prince William at a charity polo match in July 2022. For the Royal Charity Polo Cup, Kate wore a white Emilia Wickstead that featured a similar black detailing on the front.
In May, children’s wear designer Amaia Arrieta told PEOPLE that Princess Charlotte — who has worn the brand since she was a baby — is “a caring and determined little girl” with a personality very much like Kate’s.
“She is sweet but also has her own opinions,” Arrieta said.
