From Family History to Modern Elegance
Originally built in 1874 for Captain Arthur Drummond Hay, Cromlix was rebuilt in 1880 following a fire and operated as a hotel from 1981 until its closure in 2012. Just a year later, Murray stepped in — not just as a businessman, but as a local son determined to preserve a beloved landmark.
The estate’s sentimental roots run deep. Andy’s grandparents celebrated anniversaries at Cromlix, and both he and his brother Jamie Murray hosted their wedding receptions on its historic grounds.
