The Shirt That Made History – Andy Murray’s 2013 Wimbledon Gear Up for Grabs

The shirt in which Andy Murray won Wimbledon is up for auction. The Adidas top and matching baseball cap were worn by Murray during his historic straight-sets victory over Novak Djokovic in 2013.
It ended a 77-year wait to make the Scot the first British man to win Wimbledon since Fred Perry in 1936.
The shirt, one of three worn during the match, is estimated at £5,000 – £8,000, while the cap could fetch £2,500 – £3,500.
Another auction highlight is the net used in the legendary 2010 Wimbledon match between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut-the longest match in tennis history, lasting 11 hours and 5 minutes over three days. The net cord, signed by both players, carries an estimate of £2,000 to £3,000.
Additional lots include autographed tennis balls from Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and Novak Djokovic.
The online sale is being held by Graham Budd Auctions, in partnership with Golden Age of Tennis (GAOT), and is set to end 13 July, the date of the Wimbledon 2025 men’s final.
David Convery, Head of Sporting Memorabilia at Graham Budd Auctions, says: “There’s no better time than Wimbledon weeks to celebrate tennis history. This auction features truly iconic pieces, including Andy Murray’s 2013 Wimbledon Final shirt and cap, the net from the longest match ever played, and a match-used Fred Perry racket – each item a powerful link to the sport’s greatest moments.”
