Taylor Swift’s Unreleased Music Video Might Soften the Blow of No ‘Reputation TV’

Taylor Swift has made it clear that her sixth studio album, reputation (Taylor’s Version), is a no-go, but apparently, there’s an unreleased reputation music video she could give fans. When Swift told fans she now owns all her music, she also revealed some upsetting news. She never finished re-recording reputation and has no plans to release it.
Fans had been anticipating the release of reputation all year. Swift had also seemingly dropped a few Easter eggs that the LP could be on its way. However, it turns out that fan-intuition was wrong. Luckily, there is one reputation secret that just got out, giving Swift the perfect chance to make it up to fans who desperately wanted the re-recording.
Taylor Swift Filmed A Music Video For “King Of My Heart”
Taylor Swift is no stranger to keeping her career endeavors a secret until they are good and ready for a big announcement, but little did Swifties know she’s been hiding a secret “King of My Heart” music video all these years. The song was the 10th track on reputation but was never released as a single.
That’s because Swift switched gears and decided to release “Ready For It…” and its accompanying music video instead. According to director Joseph Kahn, who Swift worked with on four 1989 music videos and all the reputation videos, “King Of My Heart” was Swift’s initial choice to follow up the release of “Look What You Made Me Do.”
Kahn recently appeared on the Ourselves Podcast, hosted by Iranian filmmaker Arrad. The director spoke about what it was like working with Swift throughout the years and let it slip that they worked on the “King Of My Heart” video together, but it never saw the light of day.
“We shot like this sort of very conceptual thing, and then she decided “…Ready for it?” was a better single and decided to go that way instead,” Kahn revealed. While Kahn initially said the video was never finished, he clarified his statement after Arrad pushed for more.
Kahn revealed that the shooting was completed, but the post-production wasn’t. According to Kahn, the video heavily relied on visual effects, which were never fully added in since Swift changed her mind.
