After yet another agonising snub from her eldest son, an insider reveals that Victoria Beckham is at her wits end
The Beckham brood put on a united front last week, with mum Victoria posting happy snaps from their family holiday together.
But behind the scenes, sources tell Closer that she’s having the ‘worst time of her life’ following the shock of finding out about estranged son Brooklyn’s surprise wedding vow renewal with wife Nicola Peltz and her close-knit family.
Just three years after initially saying “I do,” Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, renewed their vows surrounded by her family and their friends – with a guest list including actor Adrien Brody and fashion designer Alexander Wang. Nicola’s billionaire father Nelson was front and centre of the nuptials, even officiating the ceremony. Nicola paid a sweet tribute to her mother, too – wearing a repurposed version of Claudia’s 1985 wedding dress.
However, neither Victoria, 51, nor David, 50, were present, with Brooklyn’s siblings Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, also missing from the event. They are believed not to have known about the renewal before a flood of pictures of the happy couple were posted on Instagram.
And an insider tells Closer that it has come as a huge kick in the teeth for Victoria.
They reveal, ‘This is undoubtably the worst time in Victoria’s life. On a personal and emotional level, this is her at her lowest ebb. She’s nursing a broken heart. She’s keeping up appearances, but behind closed doors her heart is in tatters. That renewal of vows seemed like a staged kick in the teeth for the Beckhams and a marked ownership lead by Nicola and her family. Victoria’s made of tough stuff, but nothing has rocked her as much as Nicola’s attack on her. This is personal. She’s told David that she feels like Nicola is turning into a monster.’
