“It Wasn’t Easy”: Juma Jux Opens Up About Helping Priscilla Ojo Embrace Islam Before Their Wedding

In an exclusive and heartfelt interview with Afrikmedia, Tanzanian music star Juma Jux shared the emotional journey of guiding his wife, Priscilla Ojo — daughter of Nollywood icon Iyabo Ojo — through a life-changing religious transition ahead of their lavish wedding ceremony.
According to Naija News, the singer revealed that one of the most deeply personal challenges he faced in preparing for their union was supporting Priscilla’s conversion to Islam — a path that required patience, guidance, and deep emotional understanding.
“It was a little bit difficult convincing her,” Jux admitted, “but I was lucky to receive lessons from religious leaders and people devoted to Islam.”
Rather than applying pressure, Jux embraced a more spiritual and respectful approach. He credited Islamic scholars and mentors for teaching him how to introduce the faith gently, focusing on dialogue rather than expectation.
“They told me to go slowly with her — to teach her, talk to her, let her understand things gradually. And in time, she did.”
The singer said he had long dreamt of his ideal wedding — and finding someone who shared that dream was a blessing. But it was even more meaningful that Priscilla’s journey toward Islam came from a place of trust, respect, and love, not coercion.
“I knew everything when it came to my wedding. I had dreamt about it, and I was lucky to find someone who wanted the same thing as me,” he added.
Now, as the couple begins this new chapter together, fans have praised the pair for navigating faith and love with maturity and intention. Jux’s story has sparked admiration across social media — not only for his honesty but also for his respectful handling of a topic often considered deeply personal and sensitive.
This story isn’t just about religion — it’s about patience, understanding, and the willingness to walk side by side toward a shared future.
